Pallet planters are all the rage in the up-cycling community. They are extremely useful (10-20 plants in a tiny space), look beautiful and are easy to make. So I fished out an old pallet from the local kabaadi-wala and got to work.

Old wooden trunks have a kind of romance to them. They have seen a lot during their time. Instead of throwing them away or letting them rot, converting them to something interesting and useful is always better. We took an old (probably about 20 years old) wooden trunk which has seen very rough usage (it belonged to an army man) and converted it into a bookshelf.

This instructable will take you through making a floor lamp with stuff lying around the house. I have only used things which were already lying around although you may have to improvise a bit depending on what is available with you. This was also my first proper project with the power drill so the results are not exactly smooth. But I learnt a lot and I will try and share the lessons in the respective steps.
