It was only after waking up today that I realized the Yumthang Valley I have heard so much about is only 28 kilometers away. That meant the trip will be over in about three hours with nothing to do for the rest of the day. For a town that sleeps at 8, thats a sobering thought.

North Sikkim was very very inviting. Having heard so many stories about it, I couldn’t wait to get started. With the permit in my hand, I was feeling like a little kid with a new toy. Leave a CommentTragedy has struck. Ok, let me rephrase that. Stupidity has struck. I have lost all pictures since Diwali at home till the day I landed up at Gangtok. That means I have no pictures of this day when I did the maximum manual labour. Left the pictures on the desktop of a cyber cafe to be written on to a CD later. And they promptly deleted it. What was I thinking!

Leave a CommentMan has it been so long?
As I packed my bags and mounted the bike all over again, it felt strange. Almost like it felt on day one leaving from Mumbai. Had it really been that long? I think I stayed a wee bit too long. Lethargy was creeping in. Time to shake my ass and get back into back breaking mode.
